Gennady, Moscow tour guide

My career in the travel industry started more than 20 years ago.

I graduated from Geographical Department of Moscow State Teacher’s Training University and started my career in tourism as an “Intourist” guide. That company held a monopoly in the Russian travel industry for several decades.

I travelled all across Russia from Vladisvostok to St. Petersburg and worked with the “Viking River Cruises”. Customers I gave tours to include official delegations from the US government, a group of lawyers from the American Bar Association, members of the Rotary International Club, Lion’s Club International, fashion industry celebrities (Tommy Hilfiger).

I am a member of the Russian Association of Professional Guides. Married and have two daughters.
